What’s Your “Harvard”?

Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts. The very words cast a long shadow of men and women in front of our minds. Just who are these men and women? They are Nobel Prize winners, scientists, theologians, artists, philosophers and others who apparently have one thing in common — a brilliant mind.
So I ask…what is my “Harvard”? And what’s your “Harvard”? What is that person or thing or place in our lives that commands us to sit up and take notice?
Harvard Yard is gated. Black iron signifies fortitude and disciplined endeavour. It is important to gate the thing of significance in our lives, to place boundaries around it, and, of course, to play hard within the yard. If we’re lucky, we’ll come out on the other side with our own “veritas.”
